BUTUAN CITY – Gikomperma sa kadumalahan sa Butuan City Water District (BCWD) nga pabiling ubos ang lebel sa tubig sa watershed area bisan pa og nakasinati kini sa mga pag-ulan ulan sa nakalabay’ng semana.

Sa impormasyon nga gipaabot ni BCWD Senior Public Relations Officer Ramil S. Barquin, dili bastante ang gidaghanon sa tubig ulan nga nibundak sa watershed nga mo hulip sa dakong bulto sa tubig nga nawala bunga sa nasinatiang huwaw sa probensya.

“Despite the rainy weather experienced at the Taguibo River Watershed the past two days, the downpour of rain is not enough to replenish the much needed water to increase the water level of the Taguibo River. The level of the Taguibo River is still very low.”

“For now, BCWD cannot adequately supply the demand needed by the City because of the low pressure. As such, areas located at the end points of the system, especially those located in high places may be waterless,” mensahe ni Barquin.

Sa gihimong pagtuon sa water district, ang Taguibo river kasamtangan duna lamay “total average production” nga “756 cubic meters per hour” mas ubos sa gikinahanglang water production nga “1,200 cubic meters per hour” aron mahimong normal ang pressure sa tubig.

Kon hisgutan ang “water pressure” sa Pump Station No. 1, anaa lamang kini sa 414 kPa (60 psi) mas ubos pa gihapon sa “minimum requirement” nga 552 kPa (80 psi) alang sa tibuok “service area” sa water district.
