SURIGAO DEL SUR – Boluntaryong nihanyag ang pipila ka lideres sa nagkadaiyang grupo nga nilambigit sa National Greening Program (NGP) ug Community-Based Forest Management Agreement holders sa kadumalahan sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Caraga nga mo apil sa Bantay Gubat Program.

Katuyoan matod pa sa grupo nga mapakusgan pa ang naasoy’ng programa sa ahensya sa ingon mabatokan ang bisan unsa mang matang sa iligal nga pagpamutol sa kahoy sa maong probensya.

Sumala ni DENR Caraga Regional Spokesperson Eric Gallego, gipadayag sa mga nahisgotan ang interes atol sa gipahigayong forum nga gipasiugdahan sa Conservation and Development Division (CDD) sa pagpanguna ni Forester Maritess M. Ocampo ilawom sa Technical Services sa ahensya uban sa pakig-alayon sa PENR Office – Surigao del Sur.

Atol sa forum, natuki usab ang isyu kabahin sa survival rate sa mga tinanom nga semilya sa kahoy diin gitin-aw sa ahensya nga taas ang rata sa mga semilya nga nabuhi.

Subay niini, daling nangayo si DENR Caraga Regional Director Nonito M. Tamayo sa mga nahisgotan sa listahan sa mga nominado nga mopailawom og seminar kalabot sa Forestry Laws and regulations.

Sa higayon nga mapailawom sa gikinahanglang seminar ug pagbansay ang mga nahisgotan, mahimo na unya kining deputized forest officers.

“Some leaders of people’s organizations engaged in the National Greening Program (NGP) and the Community-Based Forest Management Agreement holders in Surigao del Sur have asked the officials of the DENR-13 to list them in the Bantay Gubat program to strengthen the government’s anti-illegal logging campaign in their respective area.”

“The PO leaders have disclosed one of their concerns at a forum-workshop initiated by the Conservation and Development Division (CDD) headed by Forester Maritess M. Ocampo under the Technical Services of the DENR-13 in coordination with the PENR office, Surigao del Sur on July 24, 2015 held at the Goat Together Conference Center in Butuan City. The other concerns involve new learning on financial management and scientific applications about high survival rate of planted seedlings,” mensahe ni Gallego.
